This Warranty Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into as of [Effective Date] by and between:
Manufacturer/Seller: Securitech1 Corp, located at [Address] ("Company"); and
Customer: [Customer Name], located at [Address] ("Customer").
This Agreement governs the warranty applicable to the security products purchased by Customer from Company under invoice, purchase order, or sales agreement number [Reference Number].
1. Covered Products
This warranty applies to the following products supplied by Company ("Products"):
| Product | Model/SKU | Serial Number | Quantity |
|---|---|---|---|
| [Product description] | [Model/SKU] | [Serial number] | [Quantity] |
| [Product description] | [Model/SKU] | [Serial number] | [Quantity] |
Covered Products may include security cameras, alarm panels, sensors, access-control devices, locks, readers, recorders, power supplies, and related hardware specifically identified in the applicable sales documentation.
2. Limited Warranty
Company warrants to the original purchaser that, under normal and intended use, the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the Warranty Period.
This is a limited product warranty. It does not constitute a guarantee that the Products will prevent unauthorized access, burglary, fire, property damage, personal injury, cyberattack, data loss, or any other security incident.
3. Warranty Period
The Warranty Period begins on [date of delivery / date of installation / date of original purchase] and continues for [number] months/years, unless a different period is stated in writing for a particular Product.
A repaired or replacement Product is warranted for the longer of:
- The remainder of the original Warranty Period; or
- [90] days from the date the repaired or replacement Product is returned to Customer.
The Warranty Period is not extended by periods during which the Product is unavailable, unless required by applicable law.
4. Company's Warranty Obligations
If Company confirms that a Product contains a covered defect, Company may, at its option:
- Repair the defective Product using new or serviceable replacement parts;
- Replace it with the same or a functionally equivalent product; or
- Refund the Product's original purchase price, less any lawful allowance for use, if repair or replacement is not commercially reasonable.
Repair, replacement, or refund is Customer's exclusive remedy under this limited warranty, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Replacement Products or parts may be new, refurbished, or remanufactured and must provide functionality substantially equivalent to the original Product.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, Customer must:
Use, install, operate, and maintain the Products according to Company's documentation and applicable safety requirements;
- Use qualified personnel for installation and servicing where required;
- Maintain appropriate electrical, network, environmental, and physical operating conditions;
- Install available firmware or software updates reasonably required for security, compatibility, or reliability;
- Preserve purchase records, serial numbers, and maintenance documentation;
- Protect account credentials and replace default passwords promptly; and
- Notify Company of a suspected defect within the Warranty Period.
Customer remains responsible for testing the security system, maintaining backups, responding to alerts, and implementing security measures appropriate to its premises and risks.
6. Warranty Claim Procedure
Customer must complete the following process:
- Contact Company at [support email/telephone/portal] and request a Return Material Authorization ("RMA") or warranty case number.
- Provide proof of purchase, Product model and serial number, installation date, and a reasonably detailed description of the defect.
- Perform reasonable troubleshooting requested by Company.
- Back up and remove confidential information, credentials, recordings, and personal data where practicable.
- Return the Product using the packaging and shipping instructions supplied by Company.
Company may reject returns submitted without prior authorization. Issuance of an RMA or case number does not, by itself, establish that a defect is covered.
7. Inspection and No-Fault-Found Products
Company may inspect and test every returned Product. If Company determines that the Product is not defective or that the condition is excluded from warranty coverage, Company may return the Product to Customer and charge reasonable inspection, diagnostic, handling, and shipping fees, provided those fees were disclosed in advance or are permitted by the applicable sales terms.
8. Exclusions

9. Installation and Third-Party Components
Unless expressly included in the applicable sales documentation, this warranty covers Products only and does not cover installation labor, removal, reinstallation, programming, calibration, travel, lifting equipment, building modifications, or third-party components.
Third-party products are covered only by the warranties, if any, offered by their respective manufacturers. Company may assist Customer with a third-party warranty claim but does not adopt or extend the third party's warranty unless expressly stated in writing.
10. Software, Firmware, and Cloud Services
Software, firmware, mobile applications, cloud services, monitoring services, and subscriptions are governed by their applicable license agreements, service terms, and privacy notices.
Company does not warrant that software or services will be uninterrupted, error-free, permanently available, compatible with every third-party system, or immune from all cybersecurity threats. Company may discontinue or modify services in accordance with the applicable service terms and law.
11. Data and Privacy
Products returned for service may contain stored video, audio, access logs, user information, network settings, credentials, or other data. Customer is responsible for backing up and deleting such information before return where reasonably possible.
Company may erase, replace, or reformat storage media during diagnosis or repair and is not responsible for data loss except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Each party must comply with applicable privacy and data-protection laws when handling personal information.
12. Security-System Disclaimer
Customer acknowledges that:
- No security product or system can detect or prevent every threat or event;
- Products may be bypassed, damaged, disrupted, improperly operated, compromised, or affected by power, network, communication, environmental, or third-party failures;
- Alarm signals and notifications may be delayed, lost, or ignored;
- Products are not a substitute for insurance, emergency services, responsible security practices, or legally required safety systems; and
- Customer is responsible for evaluating whether the Products are suitable for its intended application.
Unless expressly certified and sold for such use, Products must not be used as the sole safeguard in life-safety, medical, nuclear, aviation, military, emergency-response, or other high-risk applications where failure could cause death, personal injury, or severe property or environmental damage.
13. Disclaimer of Other Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY REPLACES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, implied warranties are limited only to the extent and duration permitted by law, and Customer may have additional rights.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, USE, DATA, RECORDINGS, PRIVACY, GOODWILL, OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS, OR FOR LOSSES ARISING FROM BURGLARY, TRESPASS, FIRE, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, CYBERATTACK, OR FAILURE OF A PRODUCT TO DETECT OR PREVENT AN EVENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM A COVERED PRODUCT OR THIS AGREEMENT WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT CUSTOMER PAID COMPANY FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
15. Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and may not be assigned or transferred without Company's prior written consent, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Consumer Rights
This Agreement gives Customer specific contractual rights. Customer may also have statutory rights that vary by jurisdiction. Nothing in this Agreement excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of [State/Province/Country], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The courts located in [County/State/Country] will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this Agreement, unless the parties have agreed in writing to arbitration or applicable law requires a different forum.
Before filing a formal proceeding, each party must provide written notice of the dispute and allow the other party [30] days to attempt a good-faith resolution.
18. Notices

19. General Provisions

Any amendment or waiver must be in writing and signed by authorized representatives of both parties. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

This is a general commercial template, not legal advice. Security-product warranties and liability limitations are affected by consumer-protection, product-liability, privacy, cybersecurity, alarm-system, and unfair-contract laws. A qualified lawyer should adapt it to the products, sales model, and governing jurisdiction before use.
